This is a textbook of anatomy published by Jejungwon Clinic (eatablished in 1885, predecessor of current Severance Hospital). It is the translation of a book of anatomy by Imada Tsukine (今田 束), a Japanese. The translation was done by Oliver R. Avison (1860~1956) and Kim Pilsun (김필순 金弼淳, 1878~1919) in the same format as the original. The book cover is dyed in yellow, a design is put in, and the book is bound with a dyed and twisted thread, all as in the tradition. But the four holes used in binding is according to a Chinese or a Japanese way. The technical words of anatomy are given in Chinese characters but their explanations are in Hangeul. Pictures of cross-sections of bones were inserted to help easy understanding.
